Most managers dislike interviewing, but see it as a necessary evil. Making matters worse is that interviews are notoriously poor predictors of future success. In fact, reports suggest that somewhere between 70 to 85% of all new agents fail. No wonder there is resistance and complacency with interviews! So what can you do? Selection assessments can help, but improving your understanding of interviewing can also increase your batting average. Today I will boil down everything I’ve read and taught on the subject to its critical core, in hopes of making this step in the hiring process simple.
